What is Community Services?
Dove's Community Services Program’s purpose is to unite,
promote, and support local organized grassroots groups in neighborhoods
to address community problems such as crime, alcohol & drug
abuse, city code violations, juvenile delinquency, and other quality
of life issues, through indigenous efforts. The Community Services
Program assists in organizing new neighborhood groups and assists
existing neighborhood organizations, helping them establish positive
educational, social and recreational activities for youth. Collaboration
between the staff, neighborhoods and other city wide agencies
makes a positive impact on their neighborhood and the city of
Decatur as a whole.
