Referral
Dove is a cooperative member of the social service community.
When necessary, Domestic Violence Program staff refer women and
children to other agencies or groups for matters in which Dove
is unable to assist.
Substance Abuse
Substance Abuse education is offered to clients on an individual
and group basis. This service is provided by a substance
abuse counselor contracted through St. Mary's Hospital.
AIM
Alternative Interventions for Men is a six-month program
for abusive men. This program follows an effective curriculum
and is conducted in a group setting. Referrals are made
to AIM by the courts, State's Attorney Offices, Probation and
other social service agencies. Men may voluntarily enter
the program.
PACT
Providing Accountable Choices for Teens, PACT, is Dove’s abuse
intervention program for teens who have abused dating partners or
family members.

Education
Domestic Violence Program staff provide the community with
education, training, workshops and seminars about domestic violence
issues on a regular ongoing basis.
Parenting Assistance
Mothers involved in the Domestic Violence Program are offered
group and individual assistance in being effective parents for
their children.
WAVE
Women Against Violent Encounters is a group designed to
help women arrested and charged with domestic battery to examine
use of violence and its effects and to make changes in their lives.
There are fees charged on a sliding scale. Women referred
to WAVE are encouraged to participate in the Victim Services Program
as well, if appropriate.
